Once again donning my Motel best. I feel like this dress, due to the intricate detail and burst of color, is actually becoming quite the versatile piece to my Summer '09 style. The perfectly placed Nautical stripes and delicate, large bows also make me smile. The music playing was influenced by the movie I watched last night, Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Drew Barrymore gives the "just right" cute voice her Chihuahua silver screen character, Chloe, needs. A kid film? Yes. Silly? Yes, yet adorable, too.

Summertime á la Erika.... watermelon shakes, reading magazines in my hammock, collecting sunglasses, wearing lo-top sneakers, watching OC re-runs because Cohen is just right for Summer, painting my toes in every color of the rainbow.... Listening to Classical music while browsing new books at Barnes&Noble, baking Pastries for dessert to have with ice cream, lounging by the pool, the beach is a daily thing... and always remembering to order pineapple smoothies at Jamba Juice after a long Yoga workout....

This is my Pre-NYE, at home and casual look for today. I cannot wait to wear what I have in store for tonight though. THE SPECIAL PACKAGE arrived!!- And I'm just bubbling over with giddy excitement. You soon shall see what I have decided to don for tonight. MANY ADVANCE THANKS to those who sent in ideas. Let's just say that the fireworks won't be the only thing shining tonight. Translation: This particular outfit was influenced by Tallulah Morton (Australian model/it party girl) with the tights as pants and old-fashioned ankle boots. The plaid touch is very MK and the Eiffel Tower Paris t-shirt is just so me. As I hope to one day make my way there. :)

With body con dresses all the rage in the blogosphere kingdom, it occurred to me that I could double my extra long and clingy tank top as a body con dress. I kept it classy by pairing it with a military style jacket on top. Then I thought, why not add in my love for fringe (and Balmain) with the Bakers knock off ankle booties?

I am still feeling full from the Thanksgiving Holiday festivities over the last weekend. I like to call it a "non-stop Food fest" of sorts. The "over" eating started last Thursday morning and lasted until last night, Sunday. Let's just say I don't want to see a Turkey anytime soon. I relaxed my full tummy filled with hot cocoa and apple fritter strudel last night; by watching the MTV Special; Britney: For the Record. Anyone else excited for her new record? I remember being jealous of her when she was dating Justin of N'Sync, then slowly but surely I came around to her. One of my favorite performances was the re-mixed version of "Baby One More Time" for her Britney Spears Dream Within a Dream Tour in Las Vegas dvd.
