Last night I was going through my collection of fortunes (saved from fortune cookies past) and reading them all over again. I tend to save the ones that make the most sense to my life and that are optimistic. Some of the best ones have been:

Fall means Thanksgiving, which makes me think of Charlie Brown. I love my new shoes. I think Charlie Brown would, too.

1. I always develop a crush on guys who can either make me smile, or have really short hair. Some examples? Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Christian Bale and Brendan Fraser.
2. Sunbelt cereal is my new favorite "go-to" snack, I always have to have a "go-to" snack around, another is Chex Cheddar Mix.. yum!
3. Thanks to Knightcat I have gotten re-hooked onto My So Called Life. It's all on Hulu now and all for free. Angela Chase & Jordan Catalano* = FOREVER. sigh.. (*I feel like Jordan Catalano is the most beautiful boy on Earth. The way he slowly let his thoughts sink in and simmer before even uttering a word.)
4. Lately, I find myself constantly checking for updates on these photo blogs: FashionStorm, CartoonStyles, fashiongonerogue and Fashion-Canvas.
5. The first thing I want when I wake up... is to be alone. I like the quiet.
6. Chinese restaurants are always so cozy and I find myself most comfortable in them.
7. Heard a delicious rumor that H&M is planning to open up shop in North Carolina. YAYYYYYYY! Miami never had one...

Pain au Chocolat

Whenever I immerse myself in Chanel, a beret or in decadent perfume; I feel a need for some pain au chocolate (chocolate pastries) while strolling the streets of Paris. One of the necklaces I am wearing, the one with the black satin bow, is from the house of Lanvin and one of my most prized possessions.

On another note, I'm thrilled to share news of a brand new Ice Skating rink opening in Raleigh, one to rival the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City. I'm a dancer and skater at heart, so this news greatly excites me!! One step closer, Lissa. Now, if only I had access to the Met steps, too. ;)

American Vintage

This is my Pre-NYE, at home and casual look for today. I cannot wait to wear what I have in store for tonight though. THE SPECIAL PACKAGE arrived!!- And I'm just bubbling over with giddy excitement. Translation: This particular outfit was influenced by Tallulah Morton (Australian model/it party girl) with the tights as pants and old-fashioned ankle boots. The plaid touch is very MK and the Eiffel Tower Paris t-shirt is just so me. As I hope to one day make my way there. :)

The Eastern Glow

I'm over the moon with my Foley + Corinna leather bag in delectable eggplant. Thanks to the wonderful Shop Therapy contest, I was able to win this magnificent handbag. The leather is incredibly supple. You guys are amazing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm also extremely thrilled with my new Oxford studded booties, courtesy of Newport News. I love you guys!! My brother was in town for the day, thus the outdoor shots this time around. Very exciting stuff. I had a blast pairing the minidress with knee socks, a la Silver. In other exhilirating news, I was happy to find myself featured in a website called Web Fashion Awards among many other stylish bloggers whom I greatly admire.
