Before Summer finally whisks off, why not bare some leg in neutrals? These shorts were an impulse buy more than a year ago. I still find them as on trend now as I did back then. They have an extra high-waisted fit and serve well when mixing with chunky sweaters and knits. I, of course, had to bring the infamous platform Mary-Janes out to play. Lately, Alex has even been paying attention to my selection in shoes. My latest buy? He gave me the "OK" signal. :)

Cracked Silver

Took these in the park about a week or so ago. Was interrupted mid-shoot by a Park Ranger (in his twenties) who told us we needed a Permit to take pictures in the park? And that what I was wearing was inappropriate? As Cher Horowitz would say, "As If!" Found out later we don't even need a Permit. Who does that?

Lately I've been:
Trying out new recipes. Last night I made Angel hair, lemon shrimp, tomato basil pasta. I've invented a new garlic bread (extra olive oil) and tried out chewy gingersnap cookies, with molasses. I'm also catching up on my reading. I just finished Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. My attention was held captive the entire time by the narration given through the main character's thinking process rather than actually speaking out loud. Now, I'm delving into a sea of Judy Blume. Ah the nostalgia!

Dolce, Dulce, Dolci

As much as I love chocolates, jewelry and romantic dinners... shoes make an even sweeter surprise. Especially when they are Dolce & Gabbana, seude and in the shape of a pretty platform.

I finally got to experience snow this weekend, as in I'm walking in a Winter Wonderland kind of snow. We got 5 inches, roughly. I played, I ran, I threw snowballs and did plenty of sledding too.

Under the Milky Way

Can't take these heels off. Funniest part is I got them over a month ago and am only just now wearing them. Closet cleanups are the best. For those who were inquiring in my last post on the socks, they're lambs wool from Bloomingdale's last Christmas. These partially fingerless gloves are not only fierce but functional. I can easily access my iPod and cell while still keeping my hands warm and toasty. The forever 21 boutique piece was previously worn here.
