I have two shelves full of floor-length skirts. Mostly vintage or inherited from my Mom's personal stash. I don't wear them more only because I have trouble figuring out what shoes to wear them with. Then it struck me, why not ballet flats? Being 5'7" I often have trouble with the length of jeans and skirts and finding the appropriate shoes for them. My next challenge? Bell bottom jeans...

Flash in the Pan

It's hard adjusting to a new way of life, new roads, restaurants, location and climate. I have noticed my taste in food changing as well, I find myself leaning more and more towards warm things like soups and Hot Cocoa and less of the fruity or salad infused options. New routines are also beginning to pop up, such as craving more books to read. At night, when it drops down to the low 40ยบ's all I want to do is crawl under the covers with a good book to read. Which brought to mind the last time I felt this way; when I was a little girl. I remember being taken to the library, back then (and still now) felt like being led to the Holy Grail. I'd spend hours perusing the Children's bookshelves for just the perfect reads. I feel young and alive again now, as I once did then.

I'd like to ask you, what were some of your childhood favorites? And what are you reading now?

Vintage bag and wool blazer, Urban Outfitters ballet flats and tights, Posh Pants sequin shorts, Hermes scarf

One last Prance

Bye bye, Miami mine... I depart at 4am tomorrow morning, promising plenty of tweets from the road...

By the way, who else is watching Desperate Housewives this season? (no spoilers, please) but I am hooked on this new mysterious family. And my favorite couple will always be Tom and Lynette Scavo...

Urban Outfitters

Some snaps from Memorial Day weekend, taken at my Grandmother's house. Check out the cameo by Sweety. We had apple pie, and lots of it.

How was your long weekend spent?

I: Went out for Chinese. Watched Tennis on TV. Read some Jane Austen. Played Orisinal. Rented Lassie on DVD. Watched the fluffy clouds take shape in the sky. Went to the Beach. Collected seashells. Painted my nails. Bought a new pair of shoes. Had a mini OC marathon. Drank mango smoothies. Learned how to make breakfast biscuits. Became friends with the new neighbors. Watched the Sunset. And, lastly, watched a baby bird hatch. I hope your weekend was filled with fun too.

    • I'm still on the hunt for the perfect job. Ideally I would love to work from home like before, freelance writing about fashion and such. If you know of anything like that, please send it my way. I have a huge folder filled with my previously written articles as reference.
    • Here's to another lazy (kind of boring) Saturday, bleak in sunshine and dark with weather. I sense a looming rain nearby. I hope your Saturday is a better Saturday than the one I'm having here.
    • As always, I will try my very best to reply back to all of your comments, until I do, please remember that not a single one ever goes missed. Each comment brings me joy and a jolt of energy. Thanks for reviving me back to life. I LOVE YOU ALL. This video below should reiterate just that!! Enjoy (remember to bring out some popcorn, haha!)

    I love you!
