Why are Levi's jeans so much more fun to wear as cut offs? I happen to know for a fact that Erin Wasson agrees. She grew up collecting old Levis only to transform them into cut offs. And, even though cut offs are more of a Summer staple, I couldn't resist pairing them with a colorful Christmas sweater and sheer tights.

" LAST CHRISTMAS " We had Lots of Snow!

I can hardly believe that just last year it snowed on Christmas. It started at night and we woke up to a Winter Wonderland on the 26th. It doesn't seem to be in the forecast for this year, though. :(

It's crazy how a whole year has already flown by. It literally went by in a wink. So much has happened in the past 365 days. I want to thank all of you for reading and supporting me and my blog. I look forward to another Year with you! :) Sharing my adventures and Fashion finds. I also look forward to receiving all of your feedback (my favorite part!)

Last night we celebrated Christmas Eve, or "Noche Buena" to us, with lots of food and presents at Midnight. Today we woke up to a casserole, gifts from 'Santa' and biscuits with homemade jam. What are some of your Christmas/Holiday traditions??

To be perfectly honest, I'm so not a dessert person. I'm known for my salty tooth. If I do choose to indulge in some sugary snacks, I'm more than likely to chase it with something salty. However, when the Holiday Season begins I can't ignore the tasty treats in the bakery windows. I'm a sucker for pretty desserts too. If it's cute, I just want to take a bite out of it.. ;)


This year, my goal is to bake my Christmas cookies from scratch.

" NAIL POLISH " Holiday Glitter and Sequins

One of my vices is buying Nail Polish. I remember starting my collection around 11 years old. It's only grown exponentially since then. Like barracudas, I too am attracted to shiny, reflective things. My collection integrates pastels, neons and neutrals. If I pass by a Nail Polish display, I can't help browsing and leaving with a bottle or two. My favorite brands? O.P.I. (super chip resistant!) Chanel (for the whimsical color wheel.) Essie (for splashes of punchy color.) I also enjoy wearing Deborah Lippmann (for a Party on your fingernails!) I have yet to try Nars or Dior. Any reviews you care to share?

As soon as Thanksgiving wraps up, it's tradition to decorate the house in all things Christmas. Although, this year, we put the tree up before Thanksgiving. And the weather has finally cooled down, allowing me to play with my favorite coats, boots and sweaters again.

Silent Snow

One of our New Year traditions is eating leftovers in the dining room.

Listening to Christmas music quickly follows. This year my older nephew played Christmas carols on his violin while my younger nephew treated me to annoying orange on youtube... hahah.




Being originally from Florida, snow is still so magical to me. My favorite part? The silence after a great snow fall.

Trimming the Tree

Scout, our tuxedo kitten, is obsessed with the Christmas tree. We are constantly scolding her for trying to knock the ornaments off or for attempting to open the presents early. But after staring into her wide, brown eyes all of the anger seems to melt away...

Every year we hang a mix of vintage and new ornaments. We always stock up each Season. Underneath is stocked with stuffed animals, presents and candy boxes.

I also got to meet many fellow fashion bloggers including; Ashley (Breakfast at Saks) and Nichelle (Style Mom). It was such a delight.


Here I am at Bryant Park listening to Glee Christmas caroling with the crowd.


Catching a glimmering set of clouds; a spectacular sight to grab hold of as I head back home. The sunlight seemed to catch and dance with them with such a magical force.

My first taste of New York consisted of a taxi ride through Manhattan, an invitation to a Red Carpet/VIP event, followed by a delicious brunch at Central Park. Rocket XL did a wonderful job of organizing the whole occasion. The team behind TJ Maxx and Marshalls were all very nice. I came away from Alison Deyette's talk with a lot of great fashion and saving tips. Keywords: one-stop shopping and bargain hunting. Many thanks to Victoria and Brian, as well TJ Maxx and Marshalls for putting this Holiday blogger event together and making me a part of it. I had a blast, and now have great memories of the Big Apple to last a lifetime!
