To be perfectly honest, I'm so not a dessert person. I'm known for my salty tooth. If I do choose to indulge in some sugary snacks, I'm more than likely to chase it with something salty. However, when the Holiday Season begins I can't ignore the tasty treats in the bakery windows. I'm a sucker for pretty desserts too. If it's cute, I just want to take a bite out of it.. ;)


This year, my goal is to bake my Christmas cookies from scratch.

Bright Eyes and Fashion Shows

With Spring already showing her face and having studied the designs for Spring/Summer 2011 meticulously, I have an immense thirst for floor-grazing, gauzy skirts. (Lanvin, Pucci) Also high on my list: no-fuss makeup paired with bright pink lipstick. (Fendi) Pile on short shorts (Isabel Marant) and you have yourself a deadly combination. Inspired by Southern California, Marant came back with cropped knits and slouchy, off the shoulder tops to match her sexy shorts. Heavenly silhouettes that spoke in semi-transparent fabrics (Dolce & Gabbana) and the delicious brights (Gucci) had me clamoring... and let's not forget the floral prints at D&G. Spring has a lot to offer. Fruit prints played nice with minimalism at Stella McCartney. Derek Lam and Theyskens' Theory also toyed with minimalism and effortless dressing.

Fashion Chalet turns 1 year old.. and 2 months!

Blogger Birthday! I can't even begin to fathom that I have been blogging for this long. I remember when I first "created" Fashion Chalet, in January 2008. Today Fashion Chalet is exactly 1 year and 2 months old, can you believe it?? Clapping, whistling, cheering and candle blowing to proceed... haha. My wish? To thank all of you personally, for it is because of you, my very generous and sweet readers, that I keep this up. You inspire me, to work harder and to push myself further. A kiss for all of you, and a cupcake too, that is if I could manage individually mailing them out, without crushing the lovely vanilla frosted and sprinkled tops...... xoxo!
