Chinese Laundry

Thanks to the lovely Martha over at Chinese Laundry for my new shoes. Definitely a mood lifter after being told my Tribal wedges were sold out at Office in my size. These babies are just as haute!

I'm trying to play catch-up on comments, I promise to get back to your questions and comments really soon. Just know that I do read each and every single one and find myself smiling and happy with each word I receive.

What are your weekend plans? I rented a bunch of movies in hopes of chilling out on the cozy new sofa with popcorn (melted milk chocolate kisses on top, please) and chilled bottles of water. It's supposed to rain.... If the sun decides to show her lovely face, then to the Water park with plenty-of-slides it is.

Urban Outfitters

Some snaps from Memorial Day weekend, taken at my Grandmother's house. Check out the cameo by Sweety. We had apple pie, and lots of it.

How was your long weekend spent?

I: Went out for Chinese. Watched Tennis on TV. Read some Jane Austen. Played Orisinal. Rented Lassie on DVD. Watched the fluffy clouds take shape in the sky. Went to the Beach. Collected seashells. Painted my nails. Bought a new pair of shoes. Had a mini OC marathon. Drank mango smoothies. Learned how to make breakfast biscuits. Became friends with the new neighbors. Watched the Sunset. And, lastly, watched a baby bird hatch. I hope your weekend was filled with fun too.

I have some odd collecting habits. One of them being that yes, I do collect/save various Starbucks cups from Christmas, etc. I kind of have the hook-up and whenever I go in they give me pastry samples and free cups. Namely from this one young barista, who always seems to blush when I come in for my drink... lol. If you are reading this, "hey."

Lovefool

May 19, 2007 was my Wedding day. Today we are celebrating our 2-year Wedding anniversary! Dinner and dancing plans are set for tonight. On another note, I didn't get the chance to catch any of those movies last weekend after all (Star Trek or Angels & Demons) but hoping to do so this weekend. And the music you are listening to happens to be my very favorite remix of Lovefool by the Cardigans. My photographer is out of town on business for a week but I am very much looking forward to our next photo shoot with his new camera. Thanks for the lovely comments, you guys are the best!!

A little celebratory get together is in store for the weekend. My younger brother is graduating from high school, full honors. Ice cream cake is definitely in order! Had a blast in this last photoshoot. Visions of Pocahontas, cowgirl-gone-bad á la Erin Wasson, and Thanksgiving imagery came to mind. I'm wearing items by Complex Geometries and Urban Renewal, as well as my über favorite ankle booties by Sam Edelman. Thanks to Weardrobe for inviting me to raid the closet.


Some of my Summer obsessions: driving in the rain, watermelon juice, Odwalla smoothies, pineapple & mango salads, long lazy vacations, the beach, mini dresses, making mix cd's & playlists for the car, finding (new) indie designers to wear, making drip sandcastles, buying a new umbrella, going on-a-hunt for the perfect rainboots....

Walking On a Dream

I'm really into Empire of the Sun lately, thanks to a reader who sent info my way on a really great band. This Seth Cohen quote always makes me laugh... It's pronounced Tee-ah-HUANA. (Tijuana) God, Mom, you are so white. Happy Cinco de Mayo to those of you who are celebrating today!! Bananas in my cereal add a really happy note to my morning breakfast ritual. Anybody else obsessed with crossword puzzles and/or word searches? They occupy my spare time, especially when stuck in traffic. Excited for Mother's day weekend. A family gathering is in store. Lots of food and fun music. I'm sure a cheesy Powerpoint show of images past and laughter will ensue as well. Lastly, any recommendations of what's good right now, movie theater-wise? I wanted to see Obsessed with Beyoncé and Ali Larter but heard it was kind of weak? Oh and I highly recommend the Ash banyan wedges. I could spend 24 hours standing in them. Most comfortable shoes I own.
