I'm definitely hung up on loafers and slippers lately. There's something so luxurious about strolling in fancy flats. Don't you agree? You get comfort out of the deal, as well as an easy laid-back sense of style. Being that I'm a huge skinny jeans fan, flats are the perfect match. The fact that these slippers come in jewel toned velvet (for under $40!) is just icing on the cake.

I miss the 90's! When romance took place in high school hallways ... My So Called Life, Beverly Hills 90210 and Saved by the Bell. When acid wash jeans were the only kind of jeans to wear. And when telling ghost stories by the campfire was de rigueur. If I could attend any fictional high school from the nineties, dressing the way I do now, it would be a toss up between Bayside High and Angela Chase's alma mater, Liberty High. Plaids, acid wash, neon, Zack Morris and Jordan Catalano all around! Now that's my kind of style...

Whenever I wear these heels, I feel seven feet tall. I am infatuated with pairing sky-high platforms and über skinny jeans. Since the jumper reminded me of the Nineties, in every good way possible, I just had to pair it with acid wash skinnies. The fact that these pumps remind me of Minnie Mouse, doesn't hurt either. Who wouldn't want to be reminded of the most magical place on Earth with every glance at their feet?

My last night in New York was spent trolling Soho for a place to eat. Not being able to decide on a spot last minute with friends led to roaming the West Village and back. I ended up grabbing a hot slice of extra cheesy pizza with Alex and Jason at Bleecker Street Pizza around 10pm. It was well worth the wait! The authentic New York thing to do...

Like a Spoke On a Wheel

Last Summer I took these pictures and never got around to posting them. I still wear these Cheap Monday jeans to death. They've got this special stretch hug and marvelous fit to them. The billowy Elizabeth and James top is my favorite go-to when it comes to basic white tees...

I need to dig these Sam Edelman Zoe harness boots back out come Fall. Unbelievably tall and appearing as if I'm actually walking on my tiptoes, in reality, are surprisingly uncomplicated to walk in.

I take delight in the idea of mixing different, yet not completely contrasting prints, irresistible this summer. I find when wearing a more fitted item on top (or bottom) a slightly baggier piece complements the other half. As attractive as wearing a men's dress shirt and wrist watch with a short skirt and a pair of incredible heels.



As for the shoes, which are more often than not affectionately referred to as my monster moon boots … I love them that much more for their Frankenstein dungeon appeal...
